Yeah, since we raised most of our own food on the various farms, we decided it was only right to raised the food for the tarantula and snake as well..................

 

Thanks cluttered, that's a great idea! Although I will need to put it in a closet or somewhere hidden. It's been sitting on a side table in my entry way the last few days, and it has already spooked me a couple times when walking by, LOL.

I was sitting around a table with some friends in a rural house in Texas late one night. A scorpion dropped from the ceiling onto the table. Everyone else jumped up and started backing away but I grabbed a shoe and squashed it. Not that I like killing things but the thought of sleeping in the other room with a scorpion roaming the house was a step too far for me

When my son was ten, I worked at the town hall. My boss bought a tarantula for her younger brother and her mother wouldn't let him keep it. I took it home and we had her for two years. We called her Fang and fed her crickets. Unfortunately, I let my son take her to school and one of the kids picked her up and must have done something bad because the teacher called and said she died. . As an aside, I really REALLY don't like spiders, but when she was here, her cage had a tiny padlock and I had the tiny key so I knew where she was all the time. She was a pink toed tarantula. Velvety black with pink toes like this one.
