I have the blue and white Pyrex Bowls you show above. I got them many years ago when I moved out from my parents. I can remember my mother making toll house cookies in the largest bowl with a big wooden spoon.

I loved them fresh from the oven. A simple recipe but I could never get my toll house cookies to taste anywhere near as good as hers.

I have a set of the wheat pattern bowls, but without the pour spouts. Also a set of the primary colors, and for some reason one of the crazy daisy pattern. Also a complete set of the Corning cranberry. Complete with the sandwich plates, soup bowls, and small bowls with plastic lids. i think there are like 30 pieces. i even think i have two of the double boilers. if i can find both i would be willing to part with one.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

@MacMorrighan you live in the Des Moines area? I'm not so familiar there, but keep looking! I've had luck at garage sales. For some reason a lot of the kitchen stuff hangs around the longest. I have gotten Pyrex bowls at those, but not a whole set. Also, do you attend any big antique shows? I live in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area and there is a big antique show at the UNI-Dome in March that also includes a lot of vintage wares. I'm sure there are some closer to where you live. Cedar Rapids also has fairly frequent shows at Hawkeye Downs but I'm not sure whether they sell as much of the type of thing you are looking for.

Unfortunately there are not many good antique/vintage shops in my area any more. Another place to possibly look would be at big church garage sale types of events. There's a really good one every spring at a church in Cedar Falls.
