I have this antique pendant purchased from a second hand dealer in England. It seems quite old! Any thoughts on age or province? Likely turquoise brass and resin.

Are there maker's marks on it?

I suspect someone more knowledgable about jewelry than I is going to come along and tell you your pendant is a recent Tibetan or Tibetan-style import (like the one below.) What did the dealer tell you about it?

Not much. I liked the look of it via photos and when I received it it looked even older than I had thought. Recent Tibetan is fine, I’m just looking to solve its riddle. ☺️

Probably no older than the mid 1960's when the technique was invented.

They're usually nickel or nickel-plated brass inlaid with stone bits in some sort of matrix. It could be 40 years old and could be 4 weeks.

It is from Nepal, where they have been using this turquoise chip in plant resin set in metal style for centuries. Yours looks 1960s-70s. It is sweet.
Nepalese items are often sold as Tibetan.

I've got lots of this stuff, some marked India. It was all the rage in the 60s, very hippy, and is still made as aj says. I like it. Sometimes in brass, sometimes low grade silver. And it does indeed go back centuries.

I've even seen them on Afghan jewellery. It is one of Nepal's export hits.
