    Hello,

I am trying to identify this coupe a pied bas. I believe it is part of the Portieux Vallerysthal line in this color iris, rather than blue opaline. I can see in the catalogs that there are similarities, but do not see one that is this square shape. Do you think it could be by another maker?

    Thank you so much!
    Mary

Same design? would have been moulded round, tooled square before it cooled and was still soft. Glass companies often did this, two (or more) shapes, same mould, save costs.

It's similar in design. I think it is Portieux Vallerysthal, but was looking for second opinions. :)

While it may have been made by Portieux, it's not the piece illustrated in your catalog image. Those were two pieces, top and bottom, yours is one piece.

The catalog image has one piece footed bowls at the top :)

So it does, but they are not the same, the catalog images don't have the ring that the photo has.

    Agree with Cherryhill.
The stem of your bowl does not match the picture.

Honestly, I have searched online catalogs and reached out to multiple glass collector FB groups. I am just trying to verify the maker. If you have any thoughts, I woulds so appreciate it!

Be aware that not all glass can be identified by manufacturer. Sorry.
