6x Opaline Glass Sconces

Hi everybody!

I'm having a question..
Perhaps a real stupid question, since I'm the one that's been posting all these opaline glass topics.

A month ago I have bought these 6 ball lamps / sconces,
but I wasn't sure if they were made out of glass.
I started doubting because I have (online) come across some other lamp shades that looked like glass but they weren't. I believe these were made out of bakelite or plaster or any other plastic.

Also I don't know if they metal is just metal or brass.
The 2 metal caps are magnetic, the middle pieces on all lamps aren't.

Somebody was interested in these lamps, so I decided to ask you guys,
before selling it as glass when it isn't. Even though I believe they are

I also have this lamp. Which doesn't look like glass to me, but I really don't know.

 

Im a little confused. How could you not tap it and tell if its glass or plastic ?

 

Yes I did haha. But because my brother said NO and I said YES I doubted it.
But I'm sure these are glass now, because he just showed me a plastic one

I know I sound very stupid right now haha. Excuse me.

And is it right that these are from the Art Deco period?

 

We all have moments like that. id say 1970s more than art deco,but they are cool looking and to have so many is awesome.

I think they are even newer than the 1970s.
I would not call them sconces. To me sconces imply a cone shape with light reflected upward. Maybe I'm wrong.

I'd call them wall light fixtures. Maybe I'm wrong.
