Featured Can Anyone Give Me in on G. Fougi

Hi All I was wondering if anyone knows anything about a designer G. Foudji. I'm starting to get into antiques and came across this vase yesterday but A. Don't know if it's worth $400 and B about the designer of the piece... I was only able to find one thing that was sold by him some years ago. In my humble opinion that is over priced. Art pottery has taken a huge hit in the market the last few years,and Im not so sure it will ever reach pre recession prices again. Its a nice vase,but you can find nice stuff all day long for MUCH cheaper prices.

Thank you so much for that key! It was very cool to read. Also thank you for your opinion on pricing. I have done a little more research on this gentleman and his work as he has an alternate name... The pricing for this piece might be a little over but it's less than any other piece...i think I might keep looking for a bit

Looks like the only recent auction was Rago who passed it at an opening bid of $750. Johnny is so right about art pottery that is very unlikely to recover.
