I do know that the person in paper is a food critic from Philadelphia Inquirer. He also recently passed so this could have been his estate. Also got an unsigned 20200901_185939_resize_74.jpg 20200901_190011_resize_16.jpg 20200901_185934_resize_58.jpg 20200901_190003_resize_98.jpg 20200901_185948_resize_71.jpg 20200901_190029_resize_33.jpg Warhol that I am having looked at.

That's nice. A subtle little commentary on criticism. ("Fish & chip paper.) Artist is likely Drummond. What was the name of the critic?

Kind of reminds me of a "fish print" - an image taken from a real dead fish!
IF that was the origin of the fish, I do think the artist may have done some painting back into it.

What type of paper, cardboard, canvas is this collaged on?

Soylent Green was released in 1973 and Slither in 2006.

Maybe a comment on the Philadelphia Inquirer, i.e. "suitable for wrapping fish"

Ok, so now with the additional photo, I can see it is a fish print - where the artist takes a dead fish, inks it, and pulls a print on paper from it. Now I can see the fish is on paper that has been glued down for the collage. :cat:

Here is a wiki link to gotoyu:

I love it and it is beautiful. Still like to know who the artist is and the story behind it. William Collins had recently passed. He was the retired critic who wrote for newspaper and is photo in paper with his column.

Well, done for 1970s reference to Slither. I couldn't find one but suspected one existed. That's a date then. 1973.

I took a look, and definitely think it could be. ;)
Fortunately, @mdlock she is still living and can maybe email her to ask if it is one of hers.

I looked at her works and I don't think didnt see anything in same style. But I'm not an expert. Another I thought could be is J. A. Drummond daughter of i think David Drummond. But found nothing with just J

Here, I would consider both of these to be "in the same style" - the first does not appear to be a collage of gotoyu, but rather a collage of fish and other elements similarly colored. The second (a shaped panel standing up in the back of the picture) has her name with lettering similar.

Artists do not sign same names always.

I don't see works of hers that look anything like mine does. Plus mine being from the 70's. Does she have works from then? These all look rather modern to me.
