Anyone know about paperweights ?

I found this little pretty (2 in wide,1 1/2 high) paperweight and it was dirt cheap so I thought "why not?" though I know zilch about them. Any thoughts are appreciated.

 

It's cute. I think it would come under the heading oF "Cane Paperweight" Bottom polished. That is a good sign. Sadly if it isn't signed anywhere it is almost impossible to come up with a maker. But if I saw it dirt cheap I would have bought it too!

 

4 $ ! Of course I had to have it,though God knows I haven't got a lick of space to put anything else. Sigh,its an addiction.

 

Now that I take a closer look. You may have stumbled on something special. A few of the designs in your weight are close to some of the nicer Clichy Paperweights. The stars/flowers especially. look ath this one and you'll see what I mean!

Hi...Clichy weights are not very common....and there are similar canes used by other makers. Also so many weights listed on Ebay do not have correct attributions...so better safe than sorry....If I may suggest...this site is manned great people..and they can help you http://www.glassmessages.com/index.php?board=8.0;
