This glass vase is about 4 inches tall with a cobblestone like pattern. It has a nice iridescence, and purple highlights. Austrian was my first reaction when I saw it. I saw one other on worthpoint, but it was not identified.
    Thanks for any help.

Rindskopf and Kralik made that martelé texture.

Is it me, or does that look cut down?

Lovely! I realized some time ago on this site that I NEED some Kralik pieces. This rekindled that urge. :sorry:

Probably cut down, but they did a very good job. They slightly
    beveled the outer edge.

Czech and I would lean towards Kralik. It probably wasnt cut down. Lots of Czech (Kralik, Welz) have the same edge treatment. I'll see if I can confirm maker and decor.

    Nice piece BTW

    Mill,

I thought about a collar but I didnt see any wear on the top part of the vase.

I noticed the lack of wear too. I have seen a few pieces with nice edges even with a collar but those are few and far between.

I just ran this by Craig (Kralik-Glass.com) and he confirmed my thoughts

Kralik Creta Martele (Creta = Green)

This is what he had to say regarding a Collar

The top edge looks highly polished. If it had a collar, they generally did not polish it that well. Not a hard fast rule, but I would be inclined to say no.

Wow - thank you all very much. The top edge is polished and has a few fleabites but no wear on the polished surface. It does unfortunately have a shallow flake on the edge that comes down into the glass. Hard to notice with the pattern, but probably means I will have to keep it. I can live with that.

The flake is I think too much to overlook. It is hard to see in the pattern of the glass, but still. I actually missed it in my haste at the estate sale. gv4.JPG
