I have three of these chairs that have been in my family for 30 years. Just wondering if anyone has any info that might help me price them. The only info we have is from the sticker on the bottom: Macklin Company, Jackson, MI ... And it looks like a shipping label maybe?
Hope the pics are ok...not tech savvy. :)

You know what? That "shipping label" is still glued to the wood - and I'm betting that someone needed to replace (?) the seat and used this piece of shipping crate for the purpose. I don't think it has anything to do with who made the chair.

And I say that because, enlarged to 150%, I can read the headings on the label - which talks about the various "Specifications of Macklin Wheels." No wheels on those chairs, right?

Typical 20th century ladderback chair. Imagine they had rush or splint seats originally and someone replaced them with wood and upholstery.
