Need help identifying Asian cup. Chinese or Japanese?

Need help with this cup. It looks like it is Asian area but not sure because of the writing. Is this traditional Chinese writing or such?? Or is it a other country?

It was professional sealed in a old frame but removed it to have a closer look. Was hoping to find some marks but unfortunately no marks to be found. Its around 10cm - 4 inches in diameter.

Can somebody maybe read this or put a age on it.

Any info/input is welcome.

 

Could be Chinese, although I've never seen those characters in green. Have you tried to clean the base? It looks like dirt was added to make it look old.

 

In the 80s-90s there was a trend of this style of art. I just looked at one on the thrift I go to that had mini teapots.

 

Not that ive seen many of these but to me it also doens't look wright. I had a vase in the past with similar design which was called Celadon Crackle. Only thing is I never seen those brown rings on the rim and three rings inside. They are very dark in color which let me believe its Japanese?

Yes, it is celadon coloured crackle glaze, that pale green is called celadon. Korea also produces a lot of celadon.
But that brocade mat and the dirt point to China. Yes, you can clean it, just don't use a scouring pad.

 

From my experience so far with Chinese pieces that are mounted, framed with glass and silk brocades, I would say just a souvenir, maybe a reproduction after an exciting bowl. I serious collecter would not frame an antique Chinese bowl like that.
The style is possibly mimicking Ge/Guan ware but I don't recall seeing one with green underglaze?
Maybe if someone can translate the characters or at least tell if they are Traditional or Simplified, we can get better idea.
