drawing need ID signature

    Hi guys does someone know the artist? I can only see the initials could be W C and the date 1820 something appreciates thank you IMG_2136.JPG IMG_2138.JPG IMG_2141.JPG IMG_2141.JPG

    Manny, please please always remember to post front and back photographs of the full work including
    frame. The frame can be helpful in dating which, in turn, can be helpful in identifying the artist.

    That said... It appears to be one of the picturesque ruined abbeys in the UK. With a Google Image search, you should be able to identify which.

    So the location is disclosed on the back. Bolton Abbey. Now we can assist you in identifying artists who depicted that scene.

    So the year of the work is given next to the artist's signature. It appears to be 1826. Is that correct?

    That's a popular view of the Abbey. From Hartington Seat according to this 1829 work by J.S. Davis.

    Hi Debora I can't see the last number I find many painting by William Turner on the same spot do you know anything about the initial? is it wc or wl

    Sorry, I can't read the initials. Why don't you open it up and see what you find? More than likely to be a reproduction.
