    Hi All,
thought to post this here as I think they are for threading something, just not sure what.
the piece with the black handle says 'trade mark pat Apr 6 09, nothing on any other piece.
the 2 tin/metal pieces have a hole on the end where thread would go through?
    any information appreciated
    thanks for looking:)

The first 3 are for hooking(latching) rugs.

    I believe they're punch needles. :)

The black handled piece is an adjustable embroidery/sewing stiletto, it can be found with sterling handles too - the patent number is 917295. The other two pieces are, as Bluumz already suggested, latch needles.

    Hi,
I agree the black handle piece is an embroidery/sewing stiletto - primarily used for creating a round hole in a piece of fabric which would then be embroidered around. The trick was to guide it into the fabric and move the threads; rather than break them.
    Yes, then rug hook needles...
And the last piece under the quarters is a broken crochet hook. When I encounter them... I straighten out the narrow end as much as possible... tidy up the rust or worn with steel wool and sharpen the broken bit into a point. I use it for assorted needlework uses. I hate throwing anything like that away! Sometimes, they would use a small file and make a new hook.
