Do you not recognize a backhanded compliment when you see one ?

    Hi Steven,
Congratulations!!!!! It is the very rare Sierra/Adams butter top. I have only seen one in real life. Seen it in a lot of books and articles. I have not sold Depression Glass in 15 years now. I have no idea what to tell you of where to go to sell your piece. The one I saw was priced at 1200 dollars. I do not think the price today would be anywhere near that.

I would sell it on eBay. It'll get the most collector eyes on it that way. Check it very carefully for damage!

The Butter Dish is worth a lot of money. Show it on Facebook in the depression glass section.

I wish you the best of luck on selling your rare piece. Depression glass collectors today have fat, well-stocked hutches and displays. They can get pretty excited over what they don't have. Be patient but don't sit on it for too long!

The biggest issue is selling it at a venue where people actually know what you're offering. I'd say eBay or etsy is a pretty good bet. Keep us updated!

I listed in on ebay with for $1095 with a best offer option. I'd be pretty damn happy with something close to that. Ebay auctions are so unreliable, I'm not willing to risk it.
