    Not a dresser.

Victorian - Not sure if Etagere is the correct term @Ghopper1924 . Used as a display.
    Lovely piece.

Value depends on where you are and how you intend to sell.

Brightened it up a bit for better clarity.

1870s/80s, mahogany, English. They tend to get generically called sideboards here.

You need a decent auction house or a furniture dealer, price will depend on where in the UK you are. It will do better in the country. Might do £300.

Late Victorian mirror back dresser / chiffonier, mahogany, great quality but not much value these days.

Yeah, more of a sideboard than anything else, but a bit of a hybrid also reminiscent of an etagere and even a dresser. I'd put the date a little later ca. 1890-1900; it has Nouveau and neo-Renaissance elements as well. Ownedbybear' s price is probably right on. Despite the nice craftsmanship the large size would be a minus, particularly among younger buyers. I think it's a beauty!

Where I live, those large and lovely pieces are often purchased by higher-end furniture and home decor consignment stores primarily for display, as well as for purchase. I've seen breathtaking pieces from renovated fancy country clubs, offices, etc. in those types of stores. This would certainly fall into that category in my region of the US. Agree that younger buyers often don't want or don't have the space, and boomers are typically down-sizing.

Just a suggestion if you cannot find an independent buyer.

Move it away from the radiator, the heat could damage the finish on the side.
