What is this and it’s use/age, please. Ty

    is this old? What would it be used for. It is heavy and it does not attract a magnet. What is e1’s opinion?
    Approx 11”.

    A wine goblet? It looks like it is missing a lid though.
    It reminds me of a ciborium (missing a lid), but the imagery is wrong for that.

    For those of us with arthritic necks ;):

    Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

    I wonder if it is mostly for decorative purposes. Seems that it would be uncomfortable to drink from it, with that ridge of metal around the upper part of the rim.

    My first thought was drinking out of it but the interior didn’t look right. Maybe it’s missing a glass insert???

    Looks like a cast metal lidded urn missing the lid. Most of these I find to be from Italy and date from the 70s-90s and are for decor.

    the inside threaded rod / nut appear to be the same size as used for lamps......

    I saw that but then I didn’t see where the cord or much else for the lamp would go. Hmm
