I love street finds

    Hi, I enjoy street finds, when neighbors move, etc. I have no training in furniture repair but that doesn't stop me from gluing, shimming, and fastening a variety of projects. I fashioned a basic weave seat from jute twine which was my first weaving project. I enjoy bringing old pieces to life that others have disposed. I'm glad there's a forum like this to peruse and make inquiries, as I develop my skills and knowledge. Paul

    Welcome Paul. I share your enthusiasm for refreshing items that may otherwise have found their way to landfill.
    Unfortunately, my ambition exceeds my motivation lately, and I have many projects awaiting that special "roundtoit" tool.

    Hi Sandra. I live in a studio apt. so keep belongings to a minimum. Nearly every week I'm tempted by finds, but my space limitation prevents me from collecting too much. "Do I need this?" is the question. Also if something comes in, something goes out; that routine keeps my 400 sq ft mostly clutter-free.
