Thrift purchase. Probably someone donated because stopper was stuck. (Assuming this would not have been intentional --stopper would not have been deliberately permanent, right?)

Tried a quick test of heating the neck only w/hot water --no luck. p2.jpg p3.jpg p22.jpg

    Suggestions?

    Hi,
Pour a little alcohol around the stopper and let it soak in for an hour or so, then try moving it slightly back and forth. Some of these perfumes can cause the sticking.

Another method of loosening a glass stopper is to tap.it gently (!) with a wood spoon while rotating the bottle. Do it over something soft as the stopper often loosens unexpectedly.

I used Goo Gone on a stuck stopper earlier this year. I poured it around the rim and let it sit overnight.
