The Secret Pilgrim John Le Carre

    Can someone let me know if the secret Pilgrim has a facsimile signature and dedication.On the dedication page to Alec Guiness underneath is written and for Sam with my best John Le CARRE alias David may 9th 1991 Washington DC .I dont have my reference books for this author but any help appreciated thank you.

    Don't understand your reply it looks like his sig and his real name is David but thanks for replying.

    It's possible he morphed from that or is more specific with personalized siggys.

    Don't know it's a real conundrum as his name is David and its dedicated on the dedication page haven't got another copy to compare to see if it's a facsimile.I think it is genuine as there is nothing to gain from his signature.But then it might be David giving his friend a book with a friendly tongue in cheek signature and message .

    That doesn't look like a fake inscription. The others look like the signed copies they sell in shops; the OP's has the ring of a something one Brit might write to another.
    His real name is David Cornwell.
