Featured Vintage Red Duck Decoy Masonite Base

    Thought this was interesting. Crude paint, thought it was wood...might be paper mache? A few of us were tapping on it trying to decide. It is hollow.

    Interesting link Clutter. Maybe the bottom was open, masonite to keep it closed and steady in the water?

    It surely wasn't intended to be red. No self-respecting duck would go for that! On the other hand, I think it's a real vintage decoy that's been used as decor.
