White metal, onyx brooch

    Hi can anyone give me any information on this brooch please? (AGE,ORIGIN)
    Im slighty confused regarding this because it has a C clasp but ive no idea about the hinge.

    that's not a c clasp....that's a hand made wire pin and holder..

    Handmade by a student,hobbyist,etc. sometime in the last 40+ years.Looks like the applied patina in the recessed areas has mostly disappeared.

    It may be a futile attempt ,students,etc. copy/reproduce designs out of books,magazines,internet,etc. There is no maker's mark or hallmarks on your piece.
