Piece is heavy but feels smooth like metal. Torn between pottery or metal dish. Any info is appreciated.

"CIVITATIS ROTNA IN INSULA BORNHOLM"
The seal is on a document from 4 January 1866, in which town bailiff Carl Vilhelm Bjørnsen grants citizenship in Rønne to book printer Frederik Carl Kieffer from Copenhagen. Kieffer's printing house was located in Nørregade 13-15, approximately where Bornholms Tidende is today housed. Frederik Carl Kieffer married Julie Ellene Jensen from Bornholm, and his son Martin August Kieffer took over the printing press after his father's death in 1899. On the seal, St. John is seen over a shield with three cod, which since 1562 has been Rønne town coat of arms."

Ty Debora I found the piece in their 1916 catalog but I couldn't make out any of the written info. I sent an email. I accidentally deleted the pic and can't get it to upload. Thanks again.

I paid $1 for it 5 years ago I love it no matter what been looking through my storage boxes found a lot of items I forgot about

Yep found my set of vintage dante cufflinks and tie clip that I thought was lost or taken. Want to upload pic but messed up my images on here somehow

 

No response yet on the email I sent. Any other ideas besides calling them or traveling there to find out more informal. It is in their 1916 catalog but the pages are so bad I can read the text and I don't speak the language.

 

Can anyone value this piece or refer me to a good appraiser?
