    A friend is selling her designer candelabra, which she *suspects* is pewter, but isn't entirely sure. Aside from the obvious designer stamp, there are two others... one which *I think* reads Sh 95%, and the other ETIN or CTIN.
    Does anyone have any idea what these stamps suggest or mean?
    Thanks in advance!

    It is Étain, French for tin. Christian Dior. I expect the 95 mark to be a specific mark for the composition of the tin alloy.

    @Rory
    Edit: I am more awake now, and can read Sn in the 95 or 951 mark, so that is the tin content (%?). There are lists of French tin marks, others will know.

    Thanks Any Jewelry.
    Ive found clearer examples of the same stamps above and yes the Sn 95% stamp refers to the tin content of the pewter.

    Of course! They are an identical pair. I'm not sure what age, though.
