small Native American wedding vase by Marion who

I researched this wedding vase a while back, don't believe i found out anything about the maker because couldn't make out the last name.
Any ideas on this person ?

Agree with the signature, but there is no indication at all that this is Native American. Southwest souvenir pottery, maybe. The clay, technique, and decoration are certainly not characteristic of any traditional Native American pottery.

The wedding vase form itself has been credited to a Santa Fe curio dealer, John Candelario, who got Santa Clara potters to make some for him to sell to tourists in his shop, along with a fabricated story about it being a "wedding vase" used in "ceremonies."

There is absolutely no truth behind the story, and no documented examples of the form even existing before the early 1900s, when he first started selling them. But now it has become an iconic "Indian" symbol, made not only by Native American (and other) potters, but by factories world-wide, including those in China.

Since this looks fairly recent in style, the potter would have included a tribal affiliation in the signature, if there were one. Without tribal affiliation, it cannot be sold as "Native American."
