Denmark bronze plate with religious? scene

I think that man on the left is the Pope? any ideas on if this is an actual noted scene, painting, etc? It is marked on the back N Made in Denmark. It is also marked NDK or R under the seated mans butt. It measures 5 1/2" diameter. The stars and crescent on the top of the buildings has to be a clue but I am not finding anything. Thanks for looking!! =)

 

The man on the left is a bishop.
When I see a Medieval Danish bishop, I think of bishop Anders Sunesen, who received the Danish flag from heaven during the battle of Valdemar in Estonia in the early 13th century. It could be him, the rest of the scene looks Medieval too.

It might be a pictorial reference to the life or story of King Canute. I lived in DK for some years, and this historical figure is omnipresent in art, sculptures, statues etc.

 

Cerainly a bishop. What's interesting is the Star and Crescent: that's Islamic.
