Stone Elephant Scarab with back patterns

    Hi all, any idea what this is? I like the back markings but have no idea what they are. Grateful for any thoughts. Thanks

    Egyptian soapstone with hieroglyphics. The hieroglyphics may say something but could also be random.

    Agreed, water buffalo . Egyptian tourist piece. Cute though.
