Need Help Identifying

Found this gorgeous piece and I have never seen anything like it before! Any help will be great!

 

Ashtray with snuffer?

 

Looks more like a crystal dinner bell, but I doubt there's a little crystal ball hanging in there from what I can't see.....

 

No there’s not and there never seems to have been one. I thought it might be used for wine tasting but maybe not.

 

The bottom looks like Anchor Hocking Ashtray.
Maybe called Sure Snuff?

 

But an interesting thought!!!

 

It’s very possible one piece has nothing to do with the other. When I got it it came together.

 

Yes the bottom definitely is! I think they are two separate pieces then.

 

Wait and see what others think, I don’t know glass that well.

 

Definitely 2 different pieces. Lucky find to get them together!

 

Do you know what the bigger piece is?

Funny, this one is similar but not exact. Described as a bell with no clapper.
