I'm Tom, from the Chicagoland Area, Illinois, U.S.A. I know a decent amount about wood and furniture making, but not much at all about antiques.

Welcome Tom. A lot of people here can say the same thing. "I know a decent amount about ____________, but not much at all about __________."
So you're in the right place.
