Small painting. The frame, label and, the clothing in the painting appear to be 1920's or 30's . Thoughts? Thank you.

Scene is 1920s. Painting itself likely 1960s.

Most people associate this style of painting with the 60's, however, this style goes back to the impressionists. Street artists did a more simplistic version.

I'm not convinced this is 60's. The frame is definitely older than that and with the style of clothing and, the label design, I'm still leaning towards the 20's and 30's.

 

I'm with Deborah on this. There's no reason that the whole thing, including the frame, couldn't be 1955-65. New Formalism in the frame, typical ca. 1960 painting style.

Hello. Did you ever find out the date of this piece? We also have an antique painting with an A.S.P Art Imports label. Does anyone know what this company is? We would like to know the year as well.
