The model came out in the early fifties and was same model til mid sixties. May well have been late fifties - no war, or gone straight to the surplus chain.

 

Certainly possible. If you're selling it, I'd call it Korean War era if you need a label to hang on it. Too late for WWII and too early for the later portions of Viet Nam. Dead on for the few guys Eisenhower and Kennedy sent in as "advisors" of course.

 

All my husband's military uniforms would say, "Jacket, small, short." or "Pants, etc." This one just has the size so I'm not convinced it's military.

 

I've been watching a lot of MASH reruns lately, and Hawkeye wears a jacket like this one. So, we've got the era nailed. It might have been straight to surplus.
