Amber Glass Saddle Flask

    I immediately think recent due to a total lack of any wear or fine scratches on the bottom. I collect cure bottles and am not knowledgeable on flasks in particular but upon close examination it doesn't look to have sat around long.

    Even if it was very old you would not find any heavy wear around the whole foot. The base is uneven and there are only two very small contact points. That make the piece very wobbly and it's unsafe to keep it in upright position.

    Good point then. I didn't stop to think it may not stand correctly. Out of hundreds of old bottles I have one with that issue, an old Warners Safe bottle. I keep it as a window bottle and let it lean on the window and it does quite well there.
