Please Help w/Gold Maker's Mark.

    I see them as well, but I think they are just the prongs for the pearls.
    Of course, I could just be totally wrong too. LOLOLOL

    Looking at the ring from the side I see 3 prongs on the pearls and the inner baskets as the 4th. to help hold them? Maybe. Also I used to half drill pearls and glue onto a spike. These pearls don't look to be drilled though since there are holes on the bottom. I sure like this ring though. :)

    Thanks folks for finding the other marks, links and your thoughts on this item.

    The 4 small stones appear to be tiny diamonds.

    Ring does appear Victorian and probably only worth its weight in gold.

    I would try pricing it over the gold value,I think its lovely Nuff. :cat:

    Definitely don't scrap that. Victorian gold carries a premium in the USA, especially if we know the maker. It may well have been someone's engagement ring. One of my great-great grans had one that was pearls. It's currently in my sister's box at the bank.
