Hello to all, I found these beautiful plates today at an estate sale, 8 plates total 4 of each design. I don't know very much about this kind of stuff. I know they are Kutani ware butbi don't know the age or the artist. If someone on here recognizes the artist or a possible era it was made i would like to learn more about these plates.
I was on Gotheborgs and didn't really see a match. I got all plates for 5 dollars, I don't know how much they usually go for but I thought it was an alright deal.
Thanks to all of you for your hard work and help 20201106_170139_compress94.jpg 20201106_170201_compress69.jpg 20201106_170231_compress88.jpg 20201106_170237_compress44.jpg

The first plate's mark is actually the 2-character mark (second and third of what's painted on that plate) so it is possible that the 2 characters at the top are a maker or decorator.

The second mark is literally the word "Kutani".

The red marks with gold lettering that I've seen are usually around the Meiji era or a little later...but I don't know if that's a hard fast rule or if it could be more recent.

Lovely plates btw. I'd say you did well for $5; they look like they're in really nice condition.

Deleted what I originally wrote cause I'm finding conflicting information about the top two symbols of the first pic. I will say that I think that the top two symbols are not an artist but rather the location (either just "Japan" or a place in Japan).
