I would like to know the date and maker of this item if possible. I always believed it to be 1960s, but have since learned that it was brought over from England to Australia with my Great Grandmother in the early 20th century, most likely 1920s. I have been unable to decipher the mark on the bottom. Any information is welcome :)

In the style of Wemyss, but I think that's a Govan mark. Scottish family?

Definitely Scottish blood in the family. I've not heard of these makers before, I've had a quick google though and still can't see anything similar. I've been searching for years now haha

I would say pre WWII, probably about 1930s with that orange.

I suspect the mark is in Rontgen. An armored arm against a shield?

It looks like. It also looks as though the cat is a Sphynx breed critter, although I don't think they were around in the 20s. It may just be a cartoon Siamese.
