chinese soapstone year cycle plaque!

Hi all picked this up today i really like it I think it's soapstone carved with calendar motifs can someone confirm please chris

 

I can't see how this "works" as a calendar in the same way we in the west use the word, but those animals in the outer ring look like they might be the ones of year cycle.

Chinese zodiac

 

It is an I Ching 'calendar' with an outer ring of Chinese zodiac or year animals, recently made in archaic 'Jade princess' style.
I Ching:

 

part I ching
part zodiac
all tourist twaddle

but nicely framed....

 

yeah agree k sometimes you look at the amount the frame costs and think hmmm it maybe something a bit different bit for 15 bucks if I ever sell pretty sure will get money back if not I reckon a profit

 

it's nice enough that $15.....was worth the shot !

 

You should be able to make a profit, I think.
