Pottery Pitcher ID

    I give up. I have looked everywhere I can think in an attempt to identify this pitcher. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Nice piece, European majolica IMO but that's about as far I go ...

    Thanks for the reply blooey. That's a start. One thing I've notice since starting this thread is that the blue glaze is a spiral band that runs from the top of the handle to the base and has an oily sheen to it. Ring a bell for anyone?

    When I see that "oily" sheen it usually signals good age to me. Impressed numbers in that form and style suggest a Belgian, German or other nearby European country production, but that's a big generalization so look into that further yourself.
