The insert looks like a shade to something? How about the bowl?

    Maybe an arranged marriage???
The two crimped pieces have the look of Fenton, but the chimney has a satin finish and the lining of the white bowl and the exterior of the base crimped bowl have a glossy finish.
Wonder if the chimney was from a fairy lamp

Actually, the white bowl and the crimped bowl are one whole piece. So, I wonder what that thing is for with that hole in the middle

It almost appears to be soil residue in the crimped portion of the bowl, I wonder if it was used as a planter, with a candle in the inner bowl. That still wouldn't explain the hole in the center of the white bowl.
Come to think of it, wouldn't be practical to use a crimped container as a planter.
Just thinking out loud here (in type).

Is it possible that the "bowl" with the hole thru it is for one of those tiered serving pieces? Not exactly LIKE this one, but this idea:

IMG_8167.JPG Don't know about the chimney but the base has quite of scratch wear, so I think it could be a bit older. The shape is a bit unusual. Most of the fairy lamps are round.

What is the size of the bowl like piece?

So the base with the hole in it has been bothering me, but I think I have the answer.

Wall mounted lamp similar to this.
I'm not saying yours is by S. Clarke.
