Featured possibly bone figure

howdy picked this up today doesn't look like resin had limes going through finish and remember aj saying something about vessels or such like around 4 inches high slightly discolored on back and markings on feet can't quite make out chris

 

Ivory
You can see the lines in the face and coat area.

Very faint


Nice piece.

 

Bone has pitting and black lines or spots, which is where tiny blood vessels used to pass through. Ivory has Schreger lines, fairly even lines of a lighter and darker colour.
He was probably mounted on a black wooden base.

 

wow thanks guys wasn't expecting that does it have any age I believe it would have considering the searches I have done another great buy at aud6.25 i reckon

 

You certainly have. And it looks like it has age.
Are you allowed to sell ivory in Oz?

 

not sure will check it's one of those things that I am both happy and unhappy to have given where it has come from
