Big Asian Tabacco Leaf Bowl can anyone translate? Or help with the age and use?

Picked this up today for 2 dollars its a big one at 14 inches across by 2.5 inches tall. I usually don' mess with Asian items since there's so many reproductions out there but I figured for 2 bucks I could use it as an educational piece that and the exposed ring on the base looked like there may be some age but of course that can be faked... anyway I know there' some really knowledgeable people on here so I am wondering what would a bowl this big be used for and what does the mark say? I apologise in advance if the mark is upside down or sideways...

I can't read it but it's a variation of a tobacco leaf pattern.

This is what I found, can anyone confirm? When it comes to Asian ware I'm amateur at best, my biggest doubt comes from the fact it mentions dove blue ware and this doesn't look like the one pictured.

I don't know what your mark is but it's not the same as the one you found on gotheborg and pasted here. Pretty bowl though!

I had mine sideways here they are next to each other and, right side up to me they look identical but then again I'm not the expert so I may be wrong.

So I've found out that this was a common export pattern and most likely made for that but I'm really curious on the age, is the mark on here a true mark or counterfet to sell for higher? That and I'm still at a loss as to what it was meant to be used for short of a salad serving bowl?

I think you could probably safely say first half of the 20th c. Chinese. :shame:
