    Hello!
I’ve been reading through the different forum threads since I discovered this site earlier this year and i’ve learned a lot! I currently have a little bit of a mystery on my hands and was hoping for some help. I did a lot of searching online and haven’t really found an answer. I recently purchased a figurine that looks exactly like an Anne Fish Fulper figurine but the markings on the bottom are pretty obviously not Fulper. Has anybody out there seen reproductions of her work? I know her work is hard to come by but I have never seen a reproduction before. I saw someone in an old thread mention fake Anne Fish doorstops coming out of China so maybe this is along those lines? Let me know what you guys think! Thank you so much.

    Hi Hjarta and welcome

Had a quick look and found lots of animal figurines with same mark but nobody seemed to know what the sdd stands for

If you search Sarsaparilla Deco Designs Bell Hop

    you should find your fella

    Bit of info:

In the 1980s, there was renewed interest in all things Art Deco, so much so that the aesthetic of the era earned its own name, Neo Deco.

    They were made in japan

Wow! Thanks everybody! That is great information. You guys are awesome. :happy:That clears up that mystery! I’m guessing SDD was working off of an Anne Fish figurine to make their bellhop. Here’s a picture of an authentic Fish one:
