Need help identifying family table, buffet and chairs

    All I know about this set is that it was left in a home that a family member purchased in Oakland California in the mid-late 1940s. I have no idea how long it was in that home or when it was made. I have dragged this set with me through several moves (oh so heavy). I think they are walnut. Any help much appreciated.

    The sideboard and chairs do look like 1940s. Maybe English or American
    Although they blend, they don't look like a match.

    The table is English. Many were brought over during the 1970s - early 80s in container lots.

    Check back in tonight after the furniture people have had a chance to look.

    I think all 1920s. Would think the table English as suggested. Can't tell abut the other pieces. What little wood I can really see looks like oak.

    Thanks all. Wow, I always thought they were a set! Here are a couple more pics of the buffet. Maybe it is newer than the table and chairs? Any idea whether there is a market for these or what a value would be. My wife is pushing me hard to let go...
