    Is unframed, in good shape. Measures 22-3/4"W x 15-1/4"H oil on board. John Walter Scott (1907 - 1987): An American artist who began studying art at the age of 15 from the La France Art Institute. He began his career as an illustrator at the age of 23 and by the age of 25 many of his illustrations were appearing in Nationwide Magazines such as the Best Western, Real Sports, Uncanny Tales and Street & Smith's Wild West Weekly. During WWII as a member of the army he work and illustrated for Yank Magazine. He was also later in life commissioned to paint murals for the Petroleum Museum of Midland, Texas. He worked as a freelance illustrator drawing pulp covers and working for magazines such as This Week, True, Sports Afeld, and Woman's Day. He received commissions in the 1960s to paint murals for the LDS church. Have it on ebay auction 750 start bid. with a 1750 buy it now.Is unframed, in good shape.
