THOUGHTS ON CARIBBEAN? CARVED TRUNK?

    I found this at a local thrift store this morning & though expensive ($89 - expensive for me at a thrift store), I thought it was beautiful and had to be worth much more.
    Any thoughts on age? Country of origin?
    I appreciate any help.
    PS - I am using mac computer at work & don't know how to reduce the photos size to post pics here so I am putting a link to them on flikr - I apologize guys, but I really want to know if this is as nice as I think; the carvings are incredible!

    Wow, I didn't know they would appear! I clicked the "upload file" buttom on bottom of posting space & it said 'File too Large' - so I copy/pasted links & - they appeared! :)

    Its very appealing visually ! I think it might be from the Philippines ,but thats just a guess.

    That was my second guess, the first was Haitian.
