    Hello all.
    I have this antique pot.
It has a lid on the top and that has holes in it.
I'm not sure if it's Japanese or Chinese.
Also has some marking on the bottom.
Could it be a ginger jar
Any help would be greatly appreciated . I have posted some photos too.
    Many thanks

    Try Japanese Seto porcelain.

Agree with Ownedbybear definitely Japanese. The photo of the mark is on its side. Rotated to the right, the first three characters are Dai Ni Hon. (Great Nippon ie Japan)

    Rita,
It's an incense burner. Type 'porcelain incense burner' into Google, it will bring up loads.
