Featured 70s/80s Small Table — What Style?

I came outside of my flat today, and there was a small table on the doorstep. Apparently the other ground floor flat was being renovated and the old tenants didn’t take a lot of their furniture.

It’s painfully obviously modern, but I couldn’t resist the reeded legs so I asked if I could have it. Pictures with my garden edited out:



My question is: even though it’s obviously a mishmash of styles, what is it mostly? So far googling tells me that the leather top and turned-out peg feet are Victorian, but stylistically could it pass for Regency? My experience with furniture is 99% period dramas, not the most reliable source! Ps. Not trying to trick anyone, I just like the idea of taking the leather off at some point... provided it isn’t integral to the design

 

leans more toward Regency than Victorian, Victorian tends to be pretty heavy.

 

Regency or even a bit later. The leather is probably integral to the table's design. Nice "after" picture!!!!
