Featured What is this? Some kind of watch fob??

    What would you call this piece? I think just base metal as I can see a spot where it is worn and another color shows.

    Is this a watch fob? Thanks.

    Yes, a watch chain and fob. Very decorative. Looks gold plated, with some loss of plating.
    If you want to sell it as a watch chain, it is best to photograph it open.

    Forgot to say, it looks like it is missing a big round spring clasp on one end. Those can still be found.

    Thank you for the ID, Any Jewelry. Good point about photographing it open, and definitely appreciate the info about the missing clasp.

    OMG, first I have to find it. Went to take a photo of it lying open and I have no idea where I put it!! I'll take a second look at the clasp. Also can do some tests. Thanks.

    The clasp it has now is fine, but it is supposed to have a big round spring clasp on the other end.:)
    Like this one, except yours has the fob chain in the middle of the watch chain:
