Would anyone know how old this cup is? Stands 1 1/2" tall and 2 1/4" across the top. There is a flower on the inside as well.

    Hi,
I do not think it is Chinese or Japanese. Looks like an early English factory.

It appears to be numbered, 5172 maybe? Are there any other marks?

Looks to be an early bowl c1800 but not English with those large impressed numbers. Not Chinese so Continental - German perhaps.
