I love how they talk about "they won the contract" on their 'expertise' of their facility!!!!! It's a 'Refuse Center' from what I saw!!!! Formerly known here as a 'dump'!!!!.....slowest method of degradation isn't it!!!!!! And NO OFFENSE meant to ANY Australians meant in any way!!!!! We've got plenty of them right here in the good ole USA!!!!
I showed a tie clasp I found a bit back. It has the aircraft in 3 various stages. I used to watch them fly in and out of Nellis AFB in Vegas.
Geez, wonder why they didn't offer them to Canada? Seems we are in the market for used airplanes (I'm so hoping this is fake news). If not, way to go Canada, once again showing real support for our military (yes this is a sarcastic comment from the wife of a former fighter pilot) https://www.thestar.com/news/canada...e-of-second-hand-australian-fighter-jets.html
yup, to us on the ground they are amazing to see flying but they old and need to be replaced - why on earth would we purchase used ones that are the same age? Really, this is what our Government thinks of our military? Sorry, I'm extremely pissed off, I feel like I'm in bizarro world that someone would even consider this.
would ya go for a Super Hornet ? I mean....we don't really need 100 billion dollars worth of planes...do we ? A few ships might be nice !
Interesting comment about the US mandating they be buried and the DoD demands on Australia. The ones at DM get broken up for scrap after the sekrit stuff is removed. That's why there's so many scrapyards round the fence.
They sold the carrier I served on to a scrapper for a dang dollar. Its sickening, wished they had just used it as a reef, at least fisherman could enjoy it.
