Early lace plate marked DANOIS

Hello all

Seeing this from a distance i assumed it was Royal Copenhagen half lace bowl, but turning it over it just says DANOIS. So still from Denmark, but i understood everything out of the Royal Copenhagen factories is marked with the three waves. There is also an impressed letter D and another small blue mark.
The deco is hand done, and the porcelain seems old-reminds me of early 19th c porcelain...i forget the terminology.
8” diameter, gilt rim
Anyone come across similar?

Probably the bottom to a soap dish missing the lid.

Did you mean ironstone? I think it is porcelain though.

A soap dish would probably have an insert drainer. Maybe the base to a butter dish.

 

I think Danois refers to the pattern rather than a manufacturer. It's marked in French, and I suspect it was done by a French or Belgian factory (or even the dreaded Germans) copying the Danish pattern. It could also be Danish and made for export to a French-speaking country.... but who knows.

 

Since it's marked Danois, I would guess it's French. The pattern is frequently called "Danish" or "Blue Danish"
