    $ to donuts, between 1918 & 1920. :)

    I'd say earlier, 1905-1910 based on the collars and hair bows.

    Just found this photo of the two girls on their own! Does this photo provide more clues...?

    Don't know, but my mother wore those ENORMOUS bows along about 1919 (when she was eight). And had her long blonde curls created by rags every night.

    Hi,
    Between the hair bows and the dropped waist dresses I say closer to the 1920s also.

    Waw really? I wonder if children wore them back at the turn of the century? If so, that would fit in with my family tree to who I believe these people are!

    My first thought was 1920s as well.

    I don't think you can base it on the bows. This is 1957

    I think the little girl at the bottom of this 1912 poem is dressed as are the children in your photograph...

    Those little dresses look like what the Flapper girls wore in the Roaring 20's.

    Yes! But that book series was published 1902-1923... so it may not help so much in dating the photos. My mother collects old dolls, and that is why I've heard of Dorothy Dainty, since there was a doll created.

    The really little one has her stockings rolled; I'd say that puts it in the early 20s. Those bows hung on longer than I thought.

    Here is a photo of my own grandmother in 1913. Note the bow & dropped waist dress:
